Sun Peaks
Resort is an international four-season resort north of Kamloops
in the Thompson Nicola region of British Columbia. Known for
its sunny climate, Sun Peaks Resort receives more than 2,000
hours of sunshine per year, and more than five metres of snow.
There are 121 runs to choose from, spread over the second
largest skiable terrain in B.C. They can take you anywhere
from the open glades of Mt. Morrisey to the steep face of
Tod Mountain down to the award-winning pedestrian base village.
 Winter
activities at Sun Peaks include downhill skiing and snowboarding,
cross-country skiing, Telemark, catskiing, dogsledding, ice
skating, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and sleigh rides.
Sun Peak's
Director of Skiing is Olympic Gold Medalist Nancy Greene,
one of the best known names in Canadian skiing. Her success
at the 1968 Winter Olympics in Grenoble, France made a lasting
impression on Canadian skiers and non-skiers alike.
Sun Peaks Resort is located 31.5 miles (50 km) from Kamloops.
Sun Peaks is easily accessible from Vancouver (4-1/2 hours),
Seattle (5-1/2 hours), Banff (6-1/2 hours) on the Trans-Canada
Highway 1, and from Jasper (5 hours) on the Yellowhead Highway.
Fly non-stop from Toronto on WestJet or Air Canada. Plus daily
service to Kamloops from Vancouver and Calgary on Air Canada
/ Jazz. Pacific Coastal Airlines will be offering daily services
from Vancouver to Kamloops. Flights from Seattle to Kamloops
are available on Alaska / Horizon Air. Frequent shuttle service
to Sun Peaks Resort from airports located Kamloops, Kelowna,
and Vancouver is available.
